Pumpkin Swamp Cocktail

Halloween is nearly upon us, a time for ghosts and ghouls, trick or treating, costume parties and of course…cocktails! So to help you turn up the fear factor at your Halloween party fright night, Mix ‘n’ Twist has concocted this spine chilling, fear inducing “Gore-tail”. Don’t let the gruesome look frighten you, this monstrous delight will amaze and terrify your friends.

Name: Pumpkin Swamp

Glassware: Cocktail Glass

Ingredients:

Navy rum (Pirates favourite tipple): 50ml

Ginger syrup (Equal parts sugar and water with sliced fresh ginger, boiled for 15 minutes): 12.5ml

Black treacle: 1 tea spoon

Apple juice: 60ml

Homemade honey pumpkin puree (microwave scrapings of inner pumpkin for 3-5 minutes, add tea spoon of honey and push through a sieve to produce a puree): 1 tea spoon

Egg white and green food colouring (whisked and layered on top)

Garnish: Circle cutting of a pumpkin with scary face carving
